Once again, everything seemed to be back on track. Time went by and Kelly and Kandi were closerthanthis.... Kandi's album got pushed back because Beyonce and Janet were releasing albums on the same day as her original date and her label thought she might be lost in the hype. She had a hot debut single, and her follow up "What Could it Be" was doing very well. She had lost another 8 pounds for the video shoot which included some very sexy and steamy shots. Kelly was treating her like a queen, and making promises to be the man she wanted. He even put a rock on her finger....

Dustin and Lisa furnished their place lavishly and the nursery was the CUTENESS. It was decorated mostly in baby blue with a little yellow. They bought both blue and pink blankets. They didn't want to know the sex of the baby until the blessed event.... everyone was anxious. Kandi planned a baby shower and all the girls got together.
Lisa: You didn't have to do all this.
Kandi: The heck if I didn't! This is my little cousin, he or she has to make a GRAND entrance into this world!
Lisa: You guys are spoiling me!
Reenie: That's what we're supposed to do.
Lisa: Dustin's already spoiling me! He won't let me lift a finger to do anything around the house. He cooks, he cleans, he's doing all the decorating. I feel useless.
Esme: You always were Miss Independent.
Lisa: Exactly! I mean I'm pregnant, not debilitated!
Esme: Girl, just enjoy it! Cuz in about 6 weeks... you got 2 a.m. feedings!
Kandi: Yup yup! You're not gonna sleep for oh, about 3 years!
Lisa: Okay, now yall are scarin me!
Penni: Well look on the bright side.... in about 6 weeks you'll be able to see your feet again. 
**They all burst out laughing.
D: Now, Penni, you know you wrong for dat!!
Lisa: She got a point tho... I bought all these cute shoes and I can't even see how they look on me! I feel like I swallowed a watermelon! *Lisa's eyes widened and she put her hand on her belly* Uh-oh!
Kandi: What's wrong, Cousin!?
Lisa: I think that was a contraction!
Kandi: Ahhhh!! OMG, what do I do?
Lisa: Call Dustin! D, get my bag it's right by the bedroom door.
**Lisa remained incredibly calm, but Kandi started to freak out. D drove Lisa to the hospital while Kandi rode shotgun. Dustin met them there, and went into the delivery room with Lisa. He held her hand as the contractions got closer.
Kandi, Esme, Penni, Reenie and D waited in the lobby. Chris showed up with flowers, a card and a teddy bear for the proud parents. Kandi text messaged Kelly but he didn't reply. Finally after a few hours, the nurse came to announce the birth of a healthy baby boy - Jordan Michael Breeding.

Kandi enjoyed helping her cousin with the baby. Baby Jordan was the light of everyone's life. Dustin took some time off so that he could be at home and help Lisa take care of him. He changed diapers, fixed bottles, the whole 9. He even got up for 2 a.m. feedings with no problem.
Kandi spent a lot of her time writing when she wasn't studying or helping Dustin and Lisa out with Jordan. Kelly was less and less available with a new basketball season starting and NBA scouts checking him out. Kandi wrote a lot of songs and poems about him, but she kept them to herself. Her album was set to drop in November and she was excited. Finally one weekend, Kandi and Kelly managed to spend some quality time together at her place.
Kelly: Don't say anything yet, but I might get picked up by the Bulls.
Kandi: Baby, that's great!
Kelly: I'm holdin out for the Wizards or the 79ers tho. I wanna stay close to home.
Kandi: Don't worry, no matter where you go ya gurl will be right by your side.
Kelly (hugging her): That's what I wanna hear, baby! *noticing some toys and blankets* You still spoilin Jordan I see!
Kandi: Of course! Spoiling babies is my specialty.
Kelly: So when we gonna start havin babies to spoil?
Kandi: Well...... Can you keep a secret?
Kelly: No, but tell me anyway.
Kandi: I have a doctor's appointment today. And I'll find out today if we're gonna be parents.
Kelly: FORREAL!? *hugging her tight* Baby, that's great! Want me to go to the doctor with you?
Kandi: Yea... I'm so nervous!
**They had lunch then headed to the doctor's office. Kandi's new ride had dark tints so she didn't have any unwanted paparazzi or overzealous fans following her. And the news was good - she was 8 weeks pregnant with Kelly's baby.

**Dustin and Lisa had just put Jordan down for his nap when the phone rang.
Dustin: Hello?
Kelly: Put it on speaker, bro, me and Kandi got news!
Dustin: Okay.... *Dustin hit the speaker button* This better not be about you beating Bryan's high score on Def Jam Vendetta.
Kelly: Even better.... Jordan is gonna have a playmate.
Dustin: You're gettin a dog?
Kandi: No, crazy cousin-in-law.... we're having a baby!
Lisa: ARE YOU SERIOUS!?
Kandi: Yup! We just found out today!
Dustin & Lisa: CONGRATULATIONS!
**Kandi and Kelly told all their friends and family but they all made a promise to keep the news from Kandi's label. She was taking out a new lease on life - she and Kelly finally set a wedding date and they had a baby on the way. Kelly was still pretty busy - he had a string of away games and Kandi was missing him. But they hit each other on their kicks every day and spoke every night. Then one Saturday, Kandi was about to take a shower when she noticed blood. She started cramping and called 911 immediately, then called Kelly. He met her at the hospital, and they got the heartbreaking news together.... Kandi had lost their baby. The happiness they felt just weeks earlier had turned to pain and sadness. Kelly called Dustin, and within minutes he and Lisa were at the hospital. When Kandi was released from the hospital, she spent a lot of time with Jordan to help ease the pain of losing her own baby. Kelly wasn't around as much as she liked but she understood - his class schedule was grueling, then he had basketball practice and games. Finally, he had a weekend to spend with Kandi.......

**Kelly seemed distant... he barely spoke to her. He was more into the Xbox than their conversation. Kandi had spent time cooking a nice dinner but he didn't give her compliments the way he used to.
Kandi: Is everything ok?
Kelly: Yup.
Kandi: Something's on your mind. I know you too well.
Kelly: I got a lot on my mind... I'm sorry, I'm just tired. Between class, and ball... wondering if I'm gonna get picked up... and on top of everything I miss our baby. I'm just kinda stressed, that's all.
Kandi (hugging him): I know. Hey, Madden 07! I wanna play!
Kelly: You can't handle me, girl!
Kandi: Whatever, boy, don't eat those words!
**Kandi and Kelly played a game and Kandi beat him. Then they laid back on the couch and talked, sneaking in kisses here and there. She finally grabbed his full attention, and they did what they do best. They ended up in her room, making love until they fell asleep.
**Around 3:30 a.m. Kandi woke up, surprised to see that Kelly was no longer by her side. She heard his voice and tiptoed to the den. He was on the phone... she listened in....
Kelly: Yea.... I want to, baby, but I can't..... I'm at her crib now..... I gotta keep my voice down incase she gets up.... I miss you too, boo.... Jhene.... Jhene, come on, don't do this. I told you..... Ight, I will. I'll tell her... I have to wait till the right time to tell her. She just lost a baby a few weeks ago, she's not ready to be alone..... okay..... I will Jhene, I promise.... I love you too. Bye.
**Kandi was seething. She tiptoed back to her room and laid down. Kelly came back into the room and got into bed. He didn't hold her the way he used to, he turned his back to her and went back to sleep. Kandi was fuming, she wanted to punch him in the back of the head. But she played sleep as her thoughts raced. How could he do this? she asked herself over and over. The next morning, Kelly woke up to breakfast in bed. Kandi was treating him like a king.... she even brought him his slippers and his newspaper. All his favorites - turkey sausage, eggs, waffles, fresh squeezed orange juice.
Kelly: You didn't have to do all this.
Kandi: Of course I did, baby. You're my king. *kissing him* You're my everything.
**She even fixed herself a plate and ate with him. After breakfast, he took a shower and after one last kiss he left, promising to come back later. Kandi paced the floor, her thoughts racing, her heart pounding.
Jhene.... he swore he was over Jhene! He's planning to leave me for her!
She paced and paced. She ate another plate, then went to her junkfood stash. Peanut butter oreos, cheetos, twinkies, and a soda to wash it down. Then it was time to purge it all. She brushed her teeth and gargled. Usually she was able to bounce back after that but she was still on edge.
I lost dayum near 50 pounds for him. I bought him a car, I bought him cell phones, I stood by his side, I took him back after he cheated on me over and over again! I forgave him, I gave him nothing but love! Pure, unconditional love and THIS IS WHAT HE DOES!? HE PLANS TO LEAVE ME FOR HER?? f*ck HIM!!
She hurled a glass across the room letting it shatter against the wall. She looke into the mirror... she hated what she saw. Jhene was petite and pretty with hair down her back, pouty lips and angelic eyes. Kandi grabbed a pair of scissors and started hacking away at her hair. She suddenly hated everything about herself. After cutting her hair she looked into the mirror and saw tears falling down her face. She grabbed a razor out of the medicine cabinet and slashed her arm. She saw blood but didn't stop. She kept cutting frantically.... by the time she was finished both her arms were bleeding. Thoughts of Kelly and all the girls he cheated with.... how many times he hurt her and promised never to hurt her again..... the baby she'd lost.....
The pain was overwhelming, gripping her like a vice. Her phone rang, but she ignored it. The tears wouldn't stop, and blood was now dripping to the floor. She was becoming dizzy.... she grabbed the razor again and cut more... then she fell to the floor.

**Evonne, Elizabeth, Reenie, D, Adrienne and Mishi were all in Mishi's new Escalade. They kept trying to call Kandi, but she didn't answer.
Evonne: I say we just go kidnap her! She needs to get up out the house!
Adrienne: I agree! Let's go.
**They rode to her house and Evonne rang the doorbell. There was no answer. She tried again, still no answer. She called Kandi's house phone and cell phone, no answer. She went back to the car....
Evonne: She's not answering.
Adrienne: Both her cars are here, she's gotta be here unless she left with Kelly in his car.
Evonne: My cousin better not have her stressed out again. She already lost my lil cousin from him stressin her out. He's gonna make me smack that gap even wider!
Adrienne: I know where she keeps her key, I'm goin in.
**Adrienne grabbed the spare key and she went inside with Evonne, D, and Mishi. Adrienne checked the den, Mishi checked the bedrooms, and Evonne went into the bathroom...
Evonne: OMG!! CALL 911!! HURRY!
**Adrienne called 911 as Evonne and Mishi kneeled down by Kandi's side. There was blood everywhere and Kandi was unconscious. Her friends watched helplessly as she was carried away by ambulance. Elizabeth called Kelly's cell, but didn't get an answer.
D: Take me to my car, I think I know where that fool might be.
**They went to pick up D's car... D, Reenie and Mishi rolled out. Evonne, Elizabeth, and Adrienne went to the hospital to check on Kandi. D drove to Vienna, where Jhene lived. She rolled up to her house, and sure enough Kelly's car was parked outside. D got out of the car and was about to storm up to the door, but Mishi held her back.
Mishi: You can't just go str8 hood.
D: The hell if I can't! Our girl is up in the hospital because of his lyin, cheatin, wannabe playa azz! I'mma widen that gap and I'mma break that lil chick in half!
**Kelly walked out, spotted the girls and started to walk back in but D grabbed him.
Kelly: Look, this ain't what it looks like!
D: Kandi's in the hospital.
Kelly: What? I was just with her this morning, she was fine!
Mishi: She tried to kill herself. And somethin tells me it has something to do with you.
Kelly: Me??
Reenie: Did she stutter, fool? Yea you! And the fact that we just found your azz over here and Jhene's house confirms it!
Kelly: Forget all that, where is she? I'll talk to her, I'll straighten all this out......
D: HEEEEEELLLL NO! You ain't gettin anywhere near Kandi again! EVER!
Mishi: You've caused way too much damage already! Stay out of Kandi's life! Don't ever come back!
Kelly: I love Kandi....
Jhene (walking outside): You love her? I thought you told me you were leaving her for me!
Reenie: Jhene, you can't trust a word this boy says! He lies so much he can't even remember his own lies! He don't love nobody but himself!
Kelly: Yall got it all wrong......
D: No, YOU got it all wrong! I'mma tell you one time and one time only.... stay out of Kandi's life. If you ever get anywhere near her again, so help me you'll wish you were never born!
**The girls got back into D's car and rolled out. Kelly turned to Jhene, but she puhsed him away.
Jhene: I can't believe I trusted you!
**she went inside and left Kelly standing alone.

**Hours went by, Kandi was given a blood transfusion but her condition was touch and go. Lisa went to the hospital and waited for news... Dustin stayed home with the baby. Later that night, Dustin had put Jordan down to sleep when his phone rang. Lisa was on the other end.....
Dustin: Baby, how is she?
Lisa (crying hysterically): She's gone! My cousin is gone!
Dustin: OMG.... I'll drop Jordan off at my mom's I'll be right there.

**The day of Kandi's funeral, Kelly felt as if his own life had ended. He was at his mom's house. Dustin brushed past him without saying a word.
Kelly: I dunno what to say.
Dustin: Don't say anything.
Kelly: I wanna go today but her fam might try to rip me apart.
Bryan: Mom's going. Man, I can't believe Kandi's gone. 
Dustin: Bry, why don't you go see if Mom needs any help.
Bryan: Okay.
**Bryan left the room.
Dustin: Kelly, tell me you weren't cheating on Kandi again.
Kelly: No... I mean, I was talkin to Jhene but....
Dustin: Don't say anything else. I can't believe you!
Kelly: It's totally not what you think!
Dustin: SAVE IT! You know, Kelly, you never think about anybody but yourself! You claim you cared about Kandi, you claimed you loved her, but you just used her! Now she's dead because of YOU!
Kelly: IT'S NOT WHAT YOU THINK!
Patrick (walking in): Yall, stop! Kandi wouldn't want yall to fight. And her girls are gonna need us to help them through this. So please, just stop.
**Dustin and Kelly looked at each other but didn't say another word.
**Later at the church, Dustin was trying to comfort Lisa. Jordan was with the nanny for the day. Even though he was still a baby, Dustin thought the emotion would be too much for him.
Lisa: She was more like my sister than my cousin. I can't believe this!
Ms. Adrian tried to comfort Kandi's mom and auntie.
Ms. Marsha: My baby looks like she's sleeping....
Patrick (standing by the casket): Sis, I wish you could wake up.
Adrienne: I don't even know what to say, Pat. I can't believe this is happening. *she noticed Kelly walk in* I'm surprised he's here.
Lisa (noticing Kelly): He did this to my cousin. How does he have the nerve to show his face here?
Dustin (holding her): Stay calm, baby. She wouldn't want us to fight. And I promised Patrick we wouldn't go off on Kelly... at least not today.
**Kelly sat quietly in the back. He couldn't bring himself to walk to the front and see her lying there. The reality hadn't quite hit him.... he tried to convince himself that this was just a bad dream and that Kandi would come back. He noticed the cold stares of her friends and family... they blamed him and he knew it. He slowly walked toward the casket... she was dressed in her favorite red dress.
Kelly: She cut her hair?
Evonne (crying): Yea, she musta did that right before.....
Kelly (staring at Kandi's body): Kandi, I'm sorry. I'm so sorry..... *he looked at her, almost expecting her to wake up and hug him and tell him he's forgiven like so many times before. He held her hand* Baby, I'm so sorry! I'm so sorry.....
**Kelly broke down crying, screaming "I'm sorry." But it was too late... the reality started to sink in that all his chances had passed. Kandi was gone and she wasn't coming back. His brothers and his mom tried to comfort him but nothing they said or did made him feel any better. He couldn't bear to watch as the casket was closed. He could barely listen to the preacher's words. He felt sick inside, knowing that it was his own words and actions that drove her to do this. How could be have been so selfish? How could he have been so blind? She loved him unconditionally and he took her for granted, used her, mentally abused her, and treated her like a toy.
At the cemetary, Kandi's family and friends gathered to say their final goodbyes. Kelly stood in the rain, devistated. After the final words were read, everyone began to walk away, tears falling down their faces. Kelly stood still, letting the rain pour down on him. His mother walked over to him and offered to share her umbrella.
Ms. Adrian: Honey, standing her torturing yourself isn't helping. Come on....
Kelly: I'm not leavin.
Ms. Adrian: Are you sure?
Kelly: I need time alone with her.
Bryan: Kelly, are you gonna be ok?
Kelly: I don't think I'm ever gonna be ok again! 
**Bryan gave Kelly a hug.
Bryan: I know I'm younger but I'm here if you ever need to talk ok?
**Kelly nodded and watched everyone get into their cars and drive away. Soon he was alone at Kandi's graveside. He touched the casket, then broke down crying.
Kelly: All you wanted was for me to love you. And deep down I did... but I was too stupid to show you. I dunno what got into me... I dunno why I started thinkin I could be a total jerk and you'd still run back. I dunno why I thought I could run around and you'd still be there. I dunno why I acted a fool. My heart is breaking right now... I never thought anything could ever hurt this bad! This must be how I made you feel.... I'm so sorry, Kandi! I'm so sorry!
**He cried and screamed. He was filled with pain, grief and guilt. He finally had to leave when her casket was lowered into the ground. He went to his apartment and looked around. Everything reminded him of Kandi... she had bought most of his furniture and decorated the whole apartment. He went to his bedroom, the pillowcases still smelled like her perfume. Her photos were everywhere. Her smile now haunted him. He remembered the times they had together - how in love they were back in high school. It was still sweet and innocent then. He loved to make her smile. He laid down and cried himself to sleep. His dreams haunted him, his cruel words and actions went through his mind as he slept.....
Kelly: Do you know how many calories are probably in those cookies?
Kandi: No... but I'm sure one won't hurt. Besides, Sierra is the BOMB at baking, I can never pass up her cookies or cakes.
Kelly: That's probably why your butt's gettin so big.
Kandi: Excuse you!?
Kelly: Nothin, I'm just playin.

Dustin: How come you get a Venti and she gets a small? And why can't she have sugar when you're getting a drink that has caramel and like a million calories?
Kelly: Cuz I go to the gym every day and I play ball every day. And she's gonna be up in her video doin her thang and she can't do that if she got a gut.

Kandi: Are you cheating on me?
Kelly: No, Baby. She's a friend. We have a couple of classes together and I see her at games cuz she's a cheerleader. That's it, that's all. I'll tell her to stop calling me so late ok. Please don't cry. It tears me up to see you cry.
.... that was a lie. Kandi found out he was cheating on her....

Kelly: Why you got my kick? You goin thru my stuff again?
Kandi: Brittany called for you. She seemed pretty surprised to know you have a girl. Oh, and this caller ID pic? WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON KELLY!?
Kelly: You really need to stop beastin at me!
Kandi: WTH?? Kelly, you have a picture in your phone of some girl lying on top of you in a bunk! How the hell am I supposed to feel?
Kelly (waking up): I'M SORRY!! *he looked around, then dozed back off. In his dreams he saw Kandi, crying, looking miserable. He saw her cutting herself... something that he knew she did, but pretended not to know because he knew that he was the main source of her frustration and agony.*
Kandi (taking off her chain): 5 YEARS, KELLY! 5 YEARS OF BEING YOUR GIRL, DOING EVERYTHING YOU WANTED ME TO, LOSING MY VIRGINITY TO YOU, GIVING YOU EVERYTHING, BELIEVING IN YOU EVEN AFTER YOU CHEATED ON ME AND PROMISED IT WOULDN'T HAPPEN AGAIN, THIS IS WHAT YOU DO? *throws the chain at him* TAKE YOUR CHEAP AZZ GOLD CHAIN BACK! IT MADE MY NECK ITCH ANYWAY! OH, AND ENJOY THAT CAR TODAY, CUZ WITHIN 48 HOURS IT WILL BE f*ckIN REPOSESSED! THAT sh!t IS IN MY NAME AND I'M REPORTING IT STOLEN!

**He woke up again in a sweat, feeling a devistating pain in his heart.
Kelly: Kandi.... I dunno what I'm gonna do without you! *he cried*

**After the repass, Dustin and Lisa headed home. They immediately picked up baby Jordan and took turns holding him, talking to him and playing with him. His innocent little smile helped ease the pain. Patrick and Adrienne came over and they played spades to try and pass the time. Dustin and Lisa won...
Patrick: Kandi told me yall cheat!
Dustin: We do not cheat!
Lisa: Yea, don't be a sore loser!
Adrienne: I demand a rematch!
**The doorbell rang... Dustin answered to find a very drunk Kelly.
Kelly: I need her back! I gotta make it up to her! Tell me this is a nightmare! I gotta wake up from this!
Dustin: Dammit, Kel! *holding him up* Come on, let's get you to bed.
Kelly: NO! Can't take the nightmares! Dreams are too bad....
Lisa:  Lord, hold my tongue!!
Adrienne: Lord, keep me from smackin him in the back of the head!
**Dustin helped Kelly to the guest room and stayed with him until he fell asleep. By the time he came down to the den, Patrick and Adrienne had left.
Lisa: You know you can't save a brother that doesn't wanna be saved.
Dustin: Thank you, Jada.
Lisa: Hey, she spoke the truth in Jason's Lyric!
Dustin: I dunno what to do with him. He just kept mumbling about how he's never gonna be able to make it up to her now.
Lisa: Forgive me if I fail to show sympathy.
Dustin: I know what you're sayin... but I can't help feelin a little sorry for him. I think he's finally realizing how bad he really treated her.
Lisa: Well, it's a little too late, don't you think? *takes a deep breath* I'm sorry, I'm not mad at you.
**Lisa put the cards away, took a shower and went to bed.

**Kelly woke up with a hangover. He didn't remember how he got to his mom's house.... He sat up and tried to collect his thoughts. He looked through his sidekick at all the pics he had of Kandi. She used to beg him to delete them because she didn't like most of them. She was extremely self-consciouos and HATED having her photo taken. Ms. Adrian entered theh room with a cup of hot coffee.
Ms. Adrian: I know you're hurting, Hun, but drinking yourself into oblivion isn't the way to handle it.
Kelly: I killed her.
Ms. Adrian: Kelly....
Kelly: No... don't try to tell me I didn't. All the stuff I put her through, all the stuff I said to her... all the times I cheated on her. I might as well have took that razor and cut her wrists myself.
**Ms. Adrian had never seen her son so depressed. She was at a loss for words. Kelly finished his coffee and got dressed. He drove over to Kandi's apartment. Traces of yellow tape were still up... her place was considered a crime scene until it was determined that her wounds were self-inflicted. He looked around and when he got to the bathroom his heart nearly stopped - blood still stained the floor, the sink and the walls. The blood-stained razor was still on the floor. Tears filled his eyes as he realized the pain that Kandi must have felt to cause this kind of damage to herself.
Kelly: I didn't know I'd push you this far. I'd give anything to have you back. They told me I was going too far but I was too stupid to listen.
**Kelly made a phone call - he called his coach to say that he was quitting the basketball team. His coach was shocked, especially since he was about to be signed by the Philadelphia 76ers.
Coach: Are you sure you want to quit? I know you're mouring the loss of your girlfriend and I understand... but this is a 2-year, $5.5 million deal with a $1 million signing bonus. You can buy your mom that house you promised her....
Kelly: My brother Dustin already bought her a house, and a new car. He has a multi-million dollar modeling contract. My younger brother Bryan just landed a movie role. My middle brother Patrick is a dancer and he's about to go on tour with Shareefa. My brother Carnell got a shot at getting drafted into the NFL right outta high school. Me? I screwed up everything! Nothing matters anymore without her. I quit. *hangs up and throws the sidekick out of the window* I f*cked up everything!
**Kelly lay across Kandi's bed, and held her favorite teddy bear. It was a panda bear that he won for her at a carnival when they were in 11th grade. She never got rid of it... it still smelled like her perfume. He curled up with the bear and cried, calling out Kandi's name. He felt himself falling asleep and immediately sat up. He didn't want to go to sleep, his nightmares were more than he could take. He noticed a piece of paper sticking out of her jewelry box and opened it. It was a note, folded with his name on it.
Dear Kelly,
I love you. You're my heart, you're my world. I've never loved anyone the way I love you. But I need time apart. I can't take the constant worry, finding you cheating on me over and over. I try to be everything you want, but it's never enough. And catching you twice with Jhene was more than I could bear. You're the only man I could ever see myself with, and I thought you felt the same way. But I see you need time to grow up and figure things out. So I'll give you your space. I love you, Kel.
Kandi
The date on the note was 1 day after she came home and caught him in bed with Jhene. But she never gave it to him... she decided to stay and try to work things out.
Kelly: Dammit! I shoulda told her the truth... she thinks I sold her out for Jhene! *shaking his head* The one time I wasn't doin her wrong was what pushed her over the edge.
**Kelly found a pad and pen and wrote a letter, folded it and put it in his pocket. He went to his apartment and taped it to his mirror and headed out. He left his car parked in the driveway and packed 2 changes of clothes, and a few other items, then headed for the Greyhound station. He checked the list of destinations, and picked one at random. He purchased a one-way ticket to Dallas, Texas. He boarded the bus, thoughts flooding through his mind.....

**Dustin kept trying to call Kelly, but the phone just rang and rang then went to voicemail.
Dustin: Something's not right. I gotta go check on him.
Lisa: You don't think he's done anything drastic do you?
Dustin: I hope not.
**Jordan started to cry....
Lisa: I'll get him, that's his "change my diaper" cry. Call me when you find him, ok?
Dustin: Okay.
**Dustin left. Deep down Lisa was still angry at Kelly, but she couldn't stand to see Dustin worry so she hoped for the best. Dustin arrived at Kelly's place and knocked but got no answer. He checked Kelly's car, everything was in place. He knocked again, no answer. He tried the door and was shocked to find it unlocked. He entered cautiously... he looked around and noticed the letter taped to the mirror in Kelly's bedroom:
Dear family and friends,
The day Kandi took her life, my life ended too. I know most of yall are mad at me and I understand why. But there's something you need to know. I did cheat with Jhene and when Kandi caught us I wanted it to be over. But Jhene got obsessed and she was threatening to hurt Kandi if I didn't leave her. I wasn't going to leave Kandi for her tho I was only trying to make her believe that so she wouldn't hurt Kandi. I was getting the cops involved so they could take care of her and I could go back to being with Kandi. I never got to explain it to her. Because of my past she believed I was still cheating and instead of givin up on me she gave up on herself. Now I'm giving up. I'm giving up cuz without her nothing matters.
Dustin, you're a great dad. Take good care of Jordan. He's gonna do big things one day. Tell him his Uncle Kelly loves him. Thank you for always stickin up for me even when I didn't deserve it. Tell Lisa I'm sorry and I hope she can find it in her heart to forgive me one day. Wish her the best on her career I know she's gonna be successful. She's a wonderful mom and soon the world is gonna see what a talented broadcaster she is! I love you guys!
Patrick, take good care of Adrienne. Good luck on the tour, I'll be there in spirit. I knew you'd find your calling. Love you, Pillowohead!

**Dustin hopped in the car and headed for his mom's house. He called Lisa on his cell as he drove....
Lisa: Hey baby.
Dustin: He disappeared.... and from this letter it sounds like he doesn't wanna be found.
Lisa: Oh, no....
Dustin: I dunno what to do. Mom's gonna freak!
Lisa: Stay calm, baby. Everything's gonna work out. He probably just needs some time away to think things through. He'll be back.
Dustin: Thank you, baby. You always know what to say. I love you.
Lisa: I love you too.
Dustin: I'm gonna go talk to Mom, I'll call you when I'm on my way home.
**As expected, Ms. Adrian freaked out when she read Kelly's letter. She and Dustin tried several more times to call Kelly, neither one of them aware that his sidekick was on the ground outside of Kandi's place. By the following day his cell phone service was turned off. Ms. Adrian called the police to report Kelly missing, but according to the letter they ruled out foul play and there wasn't much they could do.

Two weeks went by and Ms. Adrian was beside herself. Finally, she checked the mail and recognized Kelly's handwriting on a letter.
Dear Mom,
I'm sorry for making you worry. I just want you to know that I'm ok. I had to leave Maryland behind. Too many memories... everything reminds me of Kandi. I loved her so much. I just wish I had listened to you and treated her right. Then maybe now we would be planning our wedding and our future together instead of her being gone now. I drove her to that and I'll have to live with that for the rest of my life.
I had to leave and start over. Don't worry about me, I'll be fine. I won't do anything drastic I just had to clear my head. I love you. Tell my brothers I love them too and I'll see you all soon.

**Ms. Adrian was relieved to know that Kelly was okay. She still missed him, but now she could rest easy knowing that he's finding a way to move on. Six months after the day Kandi died, Kelly came into town. His first stop was the cemetary... he went to Kandi's grave and kneeled down. He placed a bouquet of flowers at the headstone.
Kelly: Hey, Kandi. I've been doing a lot of thinking. I never had a chance to tell you I'm sorry for everything I said and did. I was so selfish and I didn't put you first. If I could trade places with you right now, I would. I miss you so much.... I'd give anything to have you back for just one day.
**He bowed his head and said a silent prayer, then went to see his family. Kandi's family and friends finally found it in their hearts to speak to him, but the loss was still felt very deeply. There was a lesson that everyone learned from Kandi's passing... a lesson that her loved ones wished she learned before she picked up that razor.

Lisa earned her degree and within weeks she was seen doing features on BET Style. Her first interview was with Bryan Breeding, star of the new movie Something To Be. He had several guest roles on Disney channel shows but this would be his first big screen appearance. She also had the pleasure of interviewing Dustin who now not only modeled but was launching his own clothing line - Dustin Michael Designs, Inc.
Dustin and Lisa also made headlines with their beautiful wedding. Jordan stole the show as ring bearer... he looked extra handsome in his little tux and he didn't miss a step. Lisa was a beautiful bride, she looked and felt just like a princess. D stood in as maid of honor; Reenie, Ally, Esme, Evonne and Elizabeth were her bridesmaids.
Patrick and Adrienne became quite a hot topic in the music industry. They were the most sought-after dancer/choreographer pair in the business. Their moves became so hot that they released their own DVD. They were also a hot couple, they got married in a small private ceremony in Atlanta.
Chris was traded to the Baltimore Ravens, and he went on to lead them to a Superbowl victory. D launched her own business - a football theme restarurant in downtown Baltimore near the stadium. Mishi and her friend Nikki launched a clothing line called Diva Desynez™. Carnell had a chance to be drafted into the NFL right out of high school, but he decided to go to college and play for the University of Maryland.
Evonne and Elizabeth realized they shared a love for writing songs, singing and dancing and put together an act. They called themselves Myxx (derived from the fact that they are of mixed heritage and their music is a mix of different styles). They were making some noise on the local teen club circuit and they set their sights on bigger and better things. They hit the studio and started working on their demo.
Kelly was taking everything day by day. He never really shook the state of depression he went into when Kandi died. He worked at a local clothing store, proud to see his brother's designs selling like crazy.
Kandi's album was released posthumously. It went gold. Kelly bought 2... he plays one, he keeps the other unopened on his dresser. He remembers all their dreams and plans and how they ended up so far off track. And every day he wishes he could turn back the hands of time and take back all the harsh words, criticism, cheating and lying. Now he's left feeling broken.
